Danny Rose demanded more accountability at Tottenham as he tore into his former side after their Champions League exit to AC Milan.
Spurs drew 0-0 in their last-16 second leg and having lost 1-0 at the San Siro it means a fifth knockout stage exit since reaching the final in 2019.
Rose, who is currently a free agent following a spell at Watford, was totally bemused by Wednesday night’s feeble display – but had to bite his tongue somewhat to avoid being banned from using the club’s training ground.
‘Going at the hierarchy… I still look to go into the Spurs training ground so I’ll have to be careful what I say but I think that everybody has to be held accountable.’
Tottenham endured a miserable Champions League exit on Wednesday against AC Milan

Danny Rose, formerly of Tottenham, was totally bemused by what he saw in the 0-0 stalemate
Tottenham managed just two shots on target on the night on another miserable evening which leaves Antonio Conte’s future at the club in the air.
Rose started against Liverpool in the 2019 Champions League final but his old side are now staring at a 15th-straight season without silverware.
Back in 2017 when playing for Tottenham Rose was critical of recruitment and it led to him being fined by the club.
Fast forward to 2023 and Rose is again unconvinced by the quality of player Spurs has brought in.
‘I heard something recently that the signings have not been great and it’s bizarre as I’m sure I said something like that six years ago and got fined two weeks’ wages but here we are,’ he added.
‘Everybody has to be held accountable and I think it will be interesting to see where they go from here until the end of the season.’
