Threads posts are popping up on other Meta-owned platforms like Facebook and Instagram to help spark usage as the site tries to energize its massive user base.

This week, users have noticed that more and more trending Threads posts have appeared on their Facebook timelines. The messages usually appear under the banner “For You on Threads” and feature several popular posts.

Instagram users should already be familiar with the kind of cross-platform posts that started on Facebook this week. In August, Threads began writing on Instagram in an effort to drive more users to the site.

The cross-posting comes as Threads adds features to attract users. In the past month, the platform launched a free edit button and the ability to switch between accounts. They have also teased a Trending Topics section.

Since launching this year, Threads has struggled to retain a healthy active user base to compete with X. The new site started with barebones features, including a no web-based version, and de-emphasizes news stories, making it a hard sell for many professionals.
