World Cup Final referee Szymon Marciniak has been appointed to take charge of the Champions League final, while Anthony Taylor will officiate this year’s Europa League showpiece.
The 42-year-old Pole will take charge of the clash between Manchester City and Inter in Istanbul on 10 June, and will be assisted by countrymen Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz.
Marciniak is no stranger to the big occasion having officiated the World Cup Final between France and Argentina last December, but this will be the first time he’s been given the Champions League’s final game.
It will be the second successive time he’ll be taking charge of Manchester City in the competition, having been referee for the side’s 4-0 semi-final second leg win over Real Madrid earlier this month.
One of eight Champions League games that Marciniak has been in charge of this season.

Before proceedings in Turkey, however, the Europa League final that sees Sevilla take on Roman in Budapest will be officiated by Premier League referee Anthony Taylor.
The 44-year-old has previously been appointed as referee for the 2022 Super Cup Final as well as the 2021 Nations League Final between Spain and France.
He has also taken charge of six Champions League games this season as well as the Europa League semi-final first leg that saw finalists Roma take on Feyenoord.
Taylor, will be assisted by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn as well as Michael Oliver as the fourth official. There will also be an-all English VAR assistance too, with Stuart Atwell and Christopher Kavanagh.

There’s also British involvement in the Women’s Champions League Final, with Welsh referee Cheryl Foster being put in charge of Barcelona’s meeting with Wolfsburg in Eindhoven.
Foster will be assisted by Ireland’s Michelle O’Neill and Franca Overtoom of the Netherlands. While the fourth official is English referee Rebecca Welsh.
Completing the European final field, the Europa Conference League Final, which sees West Ham take on Fiorentina has been given to a Spanish officiating team.
Carlos Del Cerro Grande will take charge of the game, with assistants Pau Cebrian Devis and Guadalupe Porras Ayuso for the game in Prague.
